My Trip To Richmond, VA to see My Best Friend and Mommy to Be!

I was bored, and somewhat lonely this weekend- So, I packed up Cjae and we "roadtripped" it to Richmond, VA to see Brittany and celebrate her new announcement: SHE'S EXPECTING! Brittany and Chris are expecting their first child in August of 2009. I am so excited! Here are a few pics I took while I was in downtown Richmond. We ate at a restaurant called The Tobacco Company.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
This year was the first year I put up my very own tree! I was concerned at first because Cjae was afraid of the branches, but after a while she came around. The picture above is her laying comfortably under our tree.

WVU Football game!

The Last WVU home game of the season, and it was 20 degrees! This is me, in all of my layers!

C*Jae's New Stroller

So, I've finally found a simple solution to a 2 mile walk with my lazy dog- A Pet Stroller! We found this online, and she absolutely loves it.I walked her all around the apartment last night and she has mastered squeezing herself into the tiny opening in the front. She also found that she really enjoys sleeping in her stroller. I think this is going to be a great thing for her so she cant bark and run off all the other dogs on the trail :)

* The Lucky One*

I can finally read again!
For so long, while being in school, I wanted to read for my own personal enjoyment, however, I always had a sudden rush of guilt that I should be reading something else, something that I had a test on the following day- But now, I'm out of school and I have just started this book, by Nicholas Sparks that my Nana got me for Christmas. Oh, and did I mention it is signed by the author himself! Thanks Nan!

True Friendship isnt seen with the eyes-it's felt with the heart.

My best friend Brittany is currently living with me part time in Morgantown, and living in Bridgeport the other half. She is back in Morgantown to finish her degree in Early childhood education. She and her husband live in Richmond Virginia with their 4 dogs, and new addition to their family, a bird! She will be moving back to Richmond in May, and I will be lonely without her- :(
I know some of you have asked about her since she has moved, and how she's doing, just wanted to give the update!
oh, and she is NOT afraid of the movie The Strangers, for all of you who had concerns! :)

Thanksgiving 2008

" Give me back my Turkey leg!" - WILL-

Everyone gathered in the kitchen. Please take note of the beautiful YAMS, directly in front of Haylee. :) Yes, I made those!

Haylee and I had a great time this year, shopping, doing nails, and make-up. She is growing up so fast! We were driving home from shopping, Sunday, and she told me something I thought was hilarious, so I had to share. We were talking about when I have kids, how she is going to be jealous, and I'm going to ignore her. She quickly switched gears to this, " well, you know your kids are going to call me AUNT Haylee, because I'll be too old to just be a "2nd cousin!" Thanks Hay, Love you too! :)

Such a sweet boy! He looks like my Uncle Jeff in this picture! You cant see, but he is actually coming to get Grandma wright!

POP feeding will dessert. He's a great eater!
C*Jae-- behind bars while we ate!

The family gathered around the food! This year was Landon's first time carving the Turkey- He did a great job! As always, Dad has deep fried the turkey and it was delicious. JUST FOR THE RECORD: I MADE THE YAMS!

Our sweet baby Will- with his very large turkey leg! This year was fun having a little one around. He was talking, and we all got a kick out of him. We all loved asking him, "Will, how do the deer run?" and " Will, can you smile for us?" Angelica is pregnant with twins, so next year should make for some fun adventures with the kids!

Thanksgiving 2008

Notice that C*jae has snuck her way into this picture, and Grandma Wright's heart. I love to see Grandma laughing, and C*jae is very good for that. She found her way onto grandmas lap many times throughout our *short* stay in Bridgeport. Oh, and notice my beautiful aunt, Sherri!

Keaton the Cowboy from Cali

Me and Kiki ( Keaton) on Thanksgiving. This year, instead of playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow, he took on a new character- Cowboy. He wore a cowboy hat everyday, and a very western belt from Uncle Scott. If you cant see in this picture, he is wearing a pin-striped suit and a "Rugrats" tie. Pop was able to get him in this attire.
